2024 NCPGA Player Development Award
Our Northern California PGA section consists of over 400 golf facilities and 1100 PGA Members and Associates. Each year our section hosts an annual meeting and award ceremony to honor those in our section who they deem to have been leaders in their roles and personify what the PGA represents. Nominations to receive an award are made by their peers and voted on by a committee of PGA Members. We are proud to announce that come December, Jon Guntrum our Director of Instruction, will be receiving the 2024 NCPGA Player Development Award for his extraordinary and exemplary contributions to player development and promotion of the game. A PGA Member since 2011, Jon has spent his career working with students of all ages and skill levels. With 15+ years of teaching experience he has also held positions as Lead Assistant at Burlingame Country Club in Hillsborough, CA. and Head Golf Professional at Berkeley Country Club, CA. In April of 2019 he was afforded the opportunity to open his own Golf Academy at Richmond Golf Club, CA. and in May of 2019, The Golf Path Academy opened its lesson book.
