Superintendent Jay Neunsinger manages weather-based controllers that adjust irrigation schedules in real-time, aligning them with actual weather conditions. This ensures that our fairways, tees, and greens receive the precise amount of water needed for optimal health and playability but which importantly reduces water waste.
Grass Varieties Engineered for Efficiency
RGC's turf plan centers on drought-resistant turf varieties that are well-suited to our local climate. These grasses not only provide excellent playing conditions, but also require significantly less water compared to traditional species. By choosing sustainable grass types, we're able to maintain the beauty of our course while minimizing water consumption.
